About me

I'm an Engineer by profession. I'm a Vegetarian by choice. I'm an Indian by birth, a world citizen by thought. A Sanathana Dharmi by Nature!

Now more about me....................

Born to my parents in a traditional South Indian Sri Vaishnava family, I and my brothers grew up comfortably unaware of the sacrifices made by my parents in their lives.

With time, we knew our family situation to be the same like the millions in India, 'the middle class' who have their profound faith in their own abilities and on the grace of the Lord. We are no different.

I'm very happy for having a great family and cultural background which instilled in me many good qualities like honesty, hardworking nature, compassion towards people, compassion towards animals and as a whole compassion on all the living beings in this Nature.

I'm fortunate for having learnt so early in my life, the great philosophy of India which is a solace to all the mankind.

I'm fortunate for having blessed with many things in life which many people in this world don't have.

And I feel it as my social responsibility to do all what I can, in my capacity, to educate myself, to improve myself continuously and to share my knowledge and experience with all other people whom I would be in contact with.

My blog is a true reflection of my thoughts and insights I have gained in my life so far, and the future updates would also reflect the new additions of thoughts and insights I would be gaining in the near future.

Loving Windows 10 Mobile for its great compatibility and Universal Apps despite the App-gap

I have been using Windows 10 on my Lumia smartphones for the last 6 months. I'm very much impressed with the hard work done by Microsoft. First Windows phone I used was with Windows 8 which was a bit different and difficult compared to Windows 8.1. However coming from Blackberry Curve 9300, it was a great welcome OS. The Windows 8.1 stole the show with very fluid, stylish and simple design. Windows 10 mobile started off with lot of bugs and hits and misses, but that is how any development work happens. The difference is that Microsoft chose to provide these builds for public use if they join the 'Windows Insider' program. I became an insider and have been enjoying Windows 10 since then. At first, after a few days of experiencing the builds I switched back to Windows 8.1 considering that I had only one Lumia then and I was using it for the office work. As the Windows Insider program states that those risks shall be 'understood' and the primary phone is ...

My opinion about Work From Home (WFH) before and after COVID 19

Work From Home (WFH) was a good option prior to the COVID-19 pandemic crisis. As my company gave this option during early 2019, we were occasionally using it and I was also enjoying that once in a while. It was suggested for 4 days in a month, meaning with proper understanding with the manager, it could be utilized once in every week.  I was personally wishing to have more days for WFH because I was getting interrupted very often when I sit at my desk in office. Main problem is that many people believe that multi-tasking is a great skill. But very few wise people realize that multi-tasking is such a waste of time. Because the focus of brain can't be on too many things at the same time.  People at work, working in various project teams shall realize, that we all can collectively do greater work, valuable at that, only when we are free of distractions. Of course, some of the tasks can be done in parallel. For example, while you work out at gym, or go for a walk or a jog outsid...

All the technology available can't substitute the Human connection

Sometimes it is said that the world has become small and with technology you can contact anyone anytime. At least in theory that is true. Particularly within your family it is true if you use social networking apps like WhatsApp, Facebook, Hangouts, Viber, Skype, or BBM, etc you have a lot of possibilities to be in touch with your near and dear. While you may use different apps for different groups of contacts - perhaps WhatsApp for friends, BBM for office colleagues, Hangouts or Skype or Viber for family - there will be times when despite all your technology you fail to reach some people at the right time. Because all that depends on the device in your hands and the devices in the hands of your people. One bad signal from the mobile network coverage puts a person out of reach. Then there are battery issues of the gadgets, weak WiFi reach, etc.
